Writing a Data Management Plan
A research data management plan is a formal document that describes how data will be collected, organized, described, shared, and preserved throughout the course of a research project and beyond. Research data management plans are required by a number of funding agencies, including the NSF and NEH. They are also required for any internal campus competition for funding.
The DMPTool is a useful tool for creating ready to use data management plans tailored to the requirements of specific funding agencies.
To get started using the DMPTool, simply click the "Log In" button at the top right-hand corner of the site, select "University of Colorado Boulder" from the list of institutions, and log in using your IdentiKey.
