Adobe Acrobat Reader:
      Downloading Instructions

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a plug-in for your Web browser that allows you to view files in Portable Document Format (PDF). PDF is a universal file format that preserves all of the fonts, formatting, colors, and graphics of any source document, regardless of the application and platform used to create it. Some of the databases available on Chinook require that Adobe Acrobat be installed on your machine in order to view full-text files.

Acrobat Reader is installed on the Libraries public computers. To down the free Acrobat Reader on your personal computer, visit the Adobe website and look for the "Get Adobe Reader" button and follow the download instructions posted there. Please note: Many software installations require restarting your computer before running a new program.
