Music and Health in America
June 28-30, 2007
Boulder, Colorado
A Rich Multi-disciplinary Symposium
Exploring the historical, medical, therapeutic
and spiritual ways that music affects healthy individuals and societies.
Featuring nationally recognized speakers and performers
from both music and health disciplines. With keynote talks, panel discussions,
concerts, experiential workshops and post-symposium intensives.
Who Will Attend: music therapists, ethnomusicologists,
medical and healthcare professionals, composers, musicians, spiritual healers,
historians and the general public.
In Boulder, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains,
enjoy high altitude views with all the amenities of a great small town.
All regular symposium sessions are on campus. Limited shuttles provided
for offsite events, and city bus lines connect to most areas. Parking
and economy lodging available on campus.

The American Music Research Center
The AMRC is an archive of rare and historically important material,
dedicated to exploring and preserving the rich traditions of American
music through concerts, publications, and sponsorship of scholarly
activities, such as symposia and lectures. It serves all community
members, musicians, and scholars who wish to preserve American music
and enhance its cultural and transformational potential for future
generations. The AMRC is operated jointly by the University of Colorado
Libraries and the College of Music.
