Collections: University of Colorado at Boulder and University System Administration

The Archives holds the historical papers of the University of Colorado at Boulder and University System Administration. Included in this university holdings are the papers and records of regents, presidents, administrators and faculty, students, university offices, and university groups.

Financial and Board of Regents' materials date from the establishment of the University in 1876. President's Office papers include materials from 1913 to the present. Vice Presidential materials reflect the growth of university administration during the 1960s and 70s. With the establishment of the four campus structure in 1974, the Archives began collecting the papers of the Chancellors' Office.

In addition to administrative papers, the Archives also holds the papers of the Faculty Senate and Faculty Council, records of student organizations and clubs, and the complete file of faculty course questionnaires. Also, the Archives holds university publications: campus newspapers, course catalogs, student directories, the Coloradan (the university yearbook), master's theses and scholarly journals. Related to these official records are the private papers of former regents, presidents, administrators, faculty and students.

We hold the papers of The US Navy Japanese/Oriental Language School Archival Project located at the UCB from 1942-1946. These papers include JLS textbooks, WWII correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks and diaries.
