Art and Architecture Research Office and Blue Room Policies and Procedures

•  Access to the Art and Architecture Research Office and to the Blue Room is limited to the Art & Architecture Librarian and other library personnel authorized by the Head of the Reference and Instructional Services Department. At no time are library patrons allowed into the either area without supervision.

•  Patron requests to view Art and Architecture Reserach Office and Blue Room materials are to be directed to the Art & Architecture Librarian in person, by phone, or via e-mail. When the Art & Architecture Librarian is unavailable (on leave or out of town), all inquiries should be directed first to the Art & Architecture Processing Technician and second to the Head of the Reference and Instructional Services Department. All patrons are required to fill out a special-handling check out card prior to using Blue Room items.

•  Art and Architecture Research Office and Blue Room materials are for in-house use only unless special circulation arrangements are made with the Art & Architecture Librarian. Upon completion of a Blue Room Registration Form (to be kept on file), faculty may request to check out Blue Room materials for a period of up to two weeks. Circulation decisions will be made on an item by item basis. Any item deemed too valuable or in poor condition will not circulate but may be viewed in house.

•  In-house student use of Art and Architecture Research Office and Blue Room materials is to occur in supervised areas, such as the Art & Architecture Research Office or other suitable areas designated by the Art & Architecture Processing Technician or the Head of the Reference and Instructional Services Department.
