  3. Explain collections and access
    1. Show that available collections are listed after sign-in
    2. Explain that the JVA client allows searching of multiple collections

      1. Note that it provides descriptions of collections when only one collection is selected
      2. Note that clicking on the hyperlink for more information may take the student to an external website (demonstrate with Aerial Photographs)
    4. Direct students to choose a collection (choosing Select will show the first page of objects)
    5. Demonstrate changing from one collection to another (File, Open Collection)
    6. Direct all students to change to one collection (MOAC)
  4. Browsing the Database
    1. Right-hand-side thumbnail display (Group window)
      1. Show that thumbnails are displayed by title or author, depending on the collection
      2. Demonstrate how to change sorting (Group, sort order)

      4. Demonstrate how to change the number of thumbnails displayed
    2. Thumbnail metadata
      1. Note that each thumbnail has information beneath it
      2. Demonstrate how to get more information:
        1. Have students select a thumbnail by clicking once; note that selected thumbnails have a white "halo" around them, and that clicking again will deselect the image
        2. Direct students to select "data" on the left when only one image is selected
        3. Survey the available information with the students, and note that the information is collection-specific
    3. Enlarging Thumbnails
      1. Direct the students to choose an image (a new workspace window will open)
      2. Hand out the "Working with Insight" Quick Guide
      3. Give a brief overview of the toolbar, noting how to zoom in and out, maximize and minimize the window, how to access metadata, etc.
      4. Note that the students can choose more than one image: emonstrate that single clicking multiple images, then holding down the Shift key and double-clicking one thumbnail will move all selected images to the workspace window
      5. Allow the students to browse/experiment
      6. Direct the students to close the workspace window.
  5. Printing Images...
    1. ...from the workspace window
      1. Demonstrate how to print to a .pdf
      2. Show how it will display, demonstrate maximizing/minimizing
