DIAL Presentation Module
Objectives:
- Students will be able to edit and add to a group in order to create presentations.
- Students will be able to save a set of images in a group in order to create presentations.
- Students will be able to create a presentation in order to enhance their classroom and research learning.

- Creating, editing, and saving a group of images
- Searching and selecting images
- Direct students to select a collection of their choice (example: Moac)
- Direct students to perform a basic search (example: Hagemeyer and flower*)
- Direct students to select three or more images
- Create a group of images
- Go to File, select New Group (a New Group window will open)
- Drag and drop one thumbnail from the right-hand side into the new, empty group window to transfer ALL selected images
- Saving a group
- MAKE SURE that the new group window has an outlined white box around it
- Go to File, select Save Group
- Specify a name for the group and the location in which you wish to save it
- Adding images to an existing group
- Direct students to close their groups by clicking the upper right-hand X in the group window
- Perform another search; determine another image you wish to add
- Go to File, select Open Group, then Browse for your group
- Drag and drop the new image into the window as before
- Save as before
- Creating a Presentation
- Making sure their groups are open, direct students to go to File and select Create a Presentation
- Show students how to rearrange image sequence by dragging and dropping
- Survey the components of the Presentation View with the students

- Direct students to name and save their presentations
- Show students how to close the Presentation View and then bring it up again
- Exporting a presentation to HTML or Powerpoint
- Highlight your presentation
- Go to File, select Export Presentation to Powerpoint
- Specify a resolution
- Specift name and destination
- Select Save (Insight creates a folder)
- Two notes:
- This only works with Windows
- Data does not come with images
