Accessing DIAL Collections
Two Access Methods
The digital collections can be accessed through a web browser or the Luna Insight JVA client. A web browser provides all the basic functionality: searching, viewing or listening, data about the digital object, basic image manipulation tools, and printing. The Luna Insight JVA client is software that offers additional tools such as exporting digital objects, creating presentations and web pages.
JVA Client Instructions
- The JVA client is available on Libraries' computers and in the ITS computing labs. The JVA client is also available for download.
- On the start menu, choose "All Programs". From Libraries' computers, choose "DIAL" from the list of software options. On all other computers, choose Luna Insight from the Luna Imaging program group.
- If prompted to login, choose "libluna.lib.ad.colorado.edu" from the drop down menu. Enter the username "guest" and the password "guest". The Libraries workstations are set to automatically login.
- A window will appear containing the list of available collections. Click on the checkbox(es) beside collection names to open one or more collections. Click the Select button.
