Biography

Deborah Hollis joined the University Libraries faculty in 1993 as an assistant professor and government publications librarian. She was appointed the associate faculty director and bibliographer for the Special Collections and Rare Books Department after achieving tenure and promotion to associate professor in 2000. Hollis is a member of the Society of American Archivists and the Society of Photographic Education. Her research interests include minorities in academic librarianship, digital humanities, and special collections management issues. Another aspect of current research involves electronic publishing and social media use by US military personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan.
