Biography
I joined the libraries faculty in 1980 as instructional services librarian. My responsibilities shifted to public information in 1990 and then to campus relations and outreach before programming and communications. My position coordinates Libraries programming, including events, displays and exhibits, and art shows; manages the Libraries permanent art collection; and coordinates communications about the Libraries to the campus, community, and media, and supervises an Arts Technician classified staff position for promotional material and outreach support. I have published and presented widely in librarianship and as a certified advanced reading and learning skills trainer and an independent facilitator and author. My second book and first popular monograph, the award-winning Harvest the Bounty of Your Career(2009), expands a tree metaphor to explore one's roots, branches, fruits and seeds in order to appreciate and extend the benefits of a professional career. I am currently engaged in research on the spiritual eldering movement, in particular that segment of the Reb Zalman Collection in the Libraries Archives, which positions me as a faculty affiliate in the CUB Jewish Studies Department November 2008 Inside CU In the Spotlight Faculty Focus http://www.colorado.edu/insidecu/editions/2008/11-18/facultyfocus.html
