List of Government Acronyms

The purpose of this glossary is to assist with acronyms found in government databases or web sites on the Internet and in print publications. The acronyms are agency names, economic terms, government publications such as the NPR or NAFTA documents, and Internet sites. Print Sources were also consulted to obtain agency names.

The CIA World Factbook Appendix A: Abbreviations lists international abbreviations and Appendix B: International Organizations and Groups contains information about missions and memberships of international organizations.
