    Choose a type of photo (cities, significant features, etc.) or chick on a map to select images of earth taken from space.
  • EarthExplorer (USGS)
    A database that can be used to identify (and order) aerial photography, digital line graphs, maps, satellite imagery, and elevation data. Login as guest or create an account to use the databases. This database replaces the USGS Global Land Information System.
  • EarthObservatory (NASA)
    The site enables users to build animations of variables such as surface temperature of the oceans and compare these temperature variations to other factors such as population growth. The site includes reference materials, fact sheets, and suggested classroom activities.
  • EROS Data Center
    Home page of the Earth Resources Observations Systems of the U.S. Geological Survey.
    • Earthshots: Satellite Images of Environmental Change
      A file of satellite (LANDSAT) imagery and text data for places around the world that are experiencing environmental change. Designed for high school students, Earthshots allows one to use a clickable map, or choose topographical features, locations or disasters from an index.

  • Geomorphology from Space
    "The core of this book is a gallery of space imagery consisting of 237 plates, each treating a geographic region where a particular landform theme is exemplified. Commentary, photographs, locator maps, and sometimes a geologic map accompany each plate."
