Changes of Government, Cabinet Reconstructions, and Political Crises, 1837-1901 (Queen Victoria).
c. 3100 items on 13 microfilm reels, 35 mm., Harvester Microform, 1980.
This material begins with the Bedchamber crisis in 1839 and concludes in October 1900 and the reconstruction of Lord Salisbury's cabinet.
The collection includes correspondence between the Queen and her ministers, extracts from the Queen's journal, and other relevant letters. The papers were first put together by the Prince Consort and, after his death in 1861, the work was continued by the Queen and her private secretaries. As the files are not fully comprehensive, material has been added from elsewhere in the Royal Archives.

Historical Manuscript Commission: Reports.
These include the reports of commissioners and inspectors of the Royal Commission on Historical Manuscripts. The Commission was first appointed in 1869 and set out to prepare calendars or detailed lists of all the major manuscript collections brought to their attention. For the first 15 reports, the inspectors' reports on collections were appendices to the commissioners' reports. Subsequent reports of inspectors were issued as separate volumes, each series concerned with one collection of manuscripts.

These include the publications of the three Royal Commissions on Ancient and Historical Monuments (England, Scotland, and Wales and Monmouthshire).
