This index is the joint product of the librarians in charge of the various subject areas included in the Finding Guide and Prof. Marjorie McIntosh. The index to the Law Library's materials was produced by Diane Murley of the Boston University Law Library, who also prepared the Finding Guide to our Law Library's British collections while a field work student at the University of Colorado in the early 1990s.

The index is more complete for some of the Guides than others. Users with a special interest in a particular field are encouraged to look through the Tables of Contents and detailed entries within the relevant sections of this volume to be sure they have not missed collections valuable for their work.

This index does not include the early printed books and pamphlets published before 1700 that are listed individually and alphabetically under author and title in the Special Collections section of these Finding Guides.
