Site of the European Cultural Convention signed in Paris on 19 December 1954 by 14 States. "Now there are 47
co-operating on a truly continental scale. It is the framework for the Council of Europe's activities in education, culture, cultural heritage, higher education, research, sport and youth.

Provides general information about the composition and
workings of the court, lists of pending cases, basic texts, press releases, effects of decisions, and other information.
- For the Record
The UN Human Rights Report includes a country-by-country overview of human rights issues with links to relevant UN documents. Publication produced by Human Rights Internet (HRI) in partnership with the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT). Also available is the European Human Rights System which is produced in collaboration with the Netherlands Institute of Human Rights (SIM) and reviews the major human rights developments within the Council of Europe.
- International Committee of the Red Cross includes information about relief operations around
the world and information about Humanitarian Law, including:
- International Humanitarian Law Database contains "91 treaties and texts,
commentaries on the four Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols, an up-to-date list of signatures,
ratifications relating to IHL treaties and full text of reservations. "
- UNICEF
Provides Progress of Nations, a look at Health, Nutrition,
Education, Family planning, Child rights, Progress for women, Aid, National performance gaps & statistical profiles on an
international level. State of the World's Children focuses on issues relating to women and children. Both are available from
the publications menu.
- United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights provides access to full text
treaties on human rights and various official documents, statements, and press releases on human rights issues.
- United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
Provides statistics and
publications on refugees and information, including country reports and reports on special topics such as children,
statelessness, repatriation and other topics. Access from the Research
and Evaluation menu.

now provides access to materials from the Fourth World Documentation Project, a collection of full-text materials.
- Death Penalty Information Center
Includes full text publications about the death
penalty, press releases, and statistics about the imposition of the death penalty. This site focuses on the United States.
- Human Rights Watch includes news and full text publications.
- Interights
Provides a database with recent decisions which apply
international human rights laws.
- Protection Project
Gathers "information regarding the national and
international legislation protecting women and children from commercial sexual exploitation." The site features demographic
data and maps, summaries of national statutes, texts of relevant international conventions, survivors' stories, video clips, human
rights reports, and other relevant information. Although free, the site requires one-time registration for use.
