Guide to Country Classification Numbers

The Government Information Library at the University of Colorado has a large collection of documents from foreign countries, which is housed in the basement of Norlin. Some countries have only a few documents ranging to large country collections (such as Great Britain and Canada) numbering in the thousands. This a list of all the countries we have holdings for, the number is the call number range for the country. These collections are organized by country, then issuing agency, then title. The foreign documents are largely uncataloged and therefore cannot always be found in CUs online catalog, Chinook. The Government Information Library does have a shelf list for these materials that can be browsed by those interested in seeing what is available. Please come to the Government Information reference desk on the third floor of Norlin Library in the southwest corner for help finding these materials.
