This library is an official Depository for the United Nations. After 1992, most publications are catalogued in Chinook, the online catalog of the University Libraries. Earlier publications can be located using the AccessUN CU database.

Indexes
  • AccessUN CU
    The index to United Nations documents including Official Records, masthead documents, draft resolutions, meeting records, UN Sales Publications, and the UN Treaty Series citations. Also included is the full-text of several thousand UN documents.
  • UNBISNet
    A catalogue of United Nations(UN) documents and publications indexed by the UN Dag Hammarskjöld Library and the Library of the UN Office at Geneva. Also included are commercial publications and other non-UN sources held in the collection of the Dag Hammarskjöld Library, voting records, and index to speeches. The coverage of UNBISnet is from 1979 onward, however, older documents are being added to the catalogue on a regular basis as a result of retrospective conversion. UNBISnet also provides instant access to a growing number of full text resources in the six official languages of the UN.
  • UN-I-QUE (UN Info Quest)
    A database for quick access to UN document and sales publications numbers from 1946-. This information can be used to locate materials in the CU collection which is available in hardcopy or microform.

    • Global Issues on the UN Agenda
      Use this site to locate key UN documents, upcoming events and activities with the UN system, statements of the Secretary General, and other information by topic.
    • United Nations Official Document System (ODS)
      ODS covers all types of official United Nations documentation, beginning in 1993. Older UN documents are, however, added to the system on a daily basis. ODS also provides access to the resolutions of the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council and the Trusteeship Council from 1946 onwards. The system does not contain press releases, UN sales publications, the United Nations Treaty Series or information brochures issued by the Department of Public Information. Please consult the Training Guides for help on searching ODS.
    • UN Documentation Center
      This center provides resolutions and documents from the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council, Secretary General, the International Court of Justice, and the Trusteeship Council.
    • United Nations treaty collections (ask for password at reference desk)
      This database includes six categories of treaty-related data: Status of Multilateral Treaties Deposited with the Secretary-General; The United Nations Treaty Series; Texts of Recently Deposited Multilateral Treaties; Photographs of Treaty Signature Ceremonies; Titles of the Multilateral Treaties Deposited with the Secretary-General in the UN official languages; and Summary of Practice of the Secretary-General as Depositary of Multilateral Treaties.

You can also access a archived version of this site which provides access to an archive of U.S. policy on reform of the United Nations, peacekeeping, U.S. arrears, testimony before Congress, speeches, and other information under the Clinton Administration.
