U.S. Census 1990 Data

These CD-ROMs focus on data from the 1990 United States Census. These CD-ROMs are only available at computers in the Government Information Library.

Title Description of contents
CensusCD and Maps Geolytics' disc holds source data from over 75 Census Bureau 1990 Census of Population and Housing CD-ROMs. Software allows customized results. A section to explain the map viewer is available from the mail help contents and with the Map Viewer. Take a guided tour that will lead you through the whole process of creating data reports and working with maps.
Census Blocks Geolytics' 1990 Blocks contains complete demographic and housing data and map boundaries from the US Census Bureau for all 7 million+ census blocks nationwide. Data is from STF 1B and PL94-171 files. Software enables customized data and map extracts.
Congressional Districts in the U.S. 105th Congress, 100% data Contains more than 900 data items of 100-percent population and housing counts and characteristics (including age, race, sex, Hispanic origin, marital status, household characteristics, units in housing structure, value, rent, number of rooms, tenure, and vacancy characteristics).
Congressional Districts in the U.S. 105th Congress, Sample Data Contains more than 900 data items of sample data weighted to represent total population and housing counts and characteristics (including age, race, sex, Hispanic origin, marital status, household characteristics, units in housing structure, value, rent, number of rooms, tenure, and vacancy characteristics).
Neighboring Change Database: 1970-2000 Geolytics' NCDB allows access to census tract data for 1970, 1980, 1990, or 2000 in the respective tract boundary definitions for that year. In this manner, the data will appear as it did for the given year and the maps will be drawn according to that year's boundaries. In this format the data will be identical to that found in the CensusCD product for that given year. With Neighborhood Change Database, however, you can access data for all four decades normalized to 2000 tract boundaries. Take a guided tour that will lead you through the whole process of creating data reports and working with maps.
