Colorado State Government

Colorado Legislature and Legislation

  • Colorado General Assembly
Provides House and Senate calendars, bills, status dating back to 1997. In addition, the site provides directories of the members of the Colorado House and Senate and information from services of the General Assembly, such as the Legislative Council, Joint Budget Committee, and the Office of the State Auditor.
  • Colorado Legislative Council Research Publications (via DU)
  • Similiar to CRS Reports at the Federal level, Legislative Council Research Publications provide non-partisan research on specific issues that come before the Colorado State Legislature. These materials inform representatives on the local and legislative history for their topics.
  • Campaign Finance--see Colorado Public Records
  • LexisNexis State Capital CU
Provides access to bills, statutes, constitutions, digests of state law, proposed and final regulations, legislative directories, and news. Although the service covers all fifty states, some types of information are not available for all states. For example, proposed regulations for the State of Colorado are available online, but the final regulations are not available because of copyright restrictions.
