Colorado State Resources

University of Colorado at Boulder Government Publications Library is a depository for Colorado state publications, and Chinook (CU's library catalog) contains call numbers for most of them. The majority of Colorado state publications in paper can be found in Norlin Library's basement (NORBASE). To find copies of materials in microfiche, please come to the Government Publications desk on the 3rd floor of Norlin Library.

  • Colorado Natural Diversity Information Source.
    Includes a variety of full-text publications on plants, animals, water quality, population growth, and land use. The interactive mapping application "displays state-of-the-art information on wildlife, plants, and natural communities in Colorado." Users can map vegetation patterns, create maps of suitable habitat by species, land use, and more.

    For businesses, marriage and divorce, campaign contributions, professional licenses, property, and other types of information.

    Gives information about the location and characteristics of land, natural aggregate, water, and energy resources on the Front Range.

    • Colorado General Assembly
      Provides House and Senate calendars, bills, status dating back to 1997. In addition, the site provides directories of the members of the Colorado House and Senate and information from services of the General Assembly, such as the Legislative Council, Joint Budget Committee, and the Office of the State Auditor.
      • Colorado Ballot Proposals Information
        Provides information about the process and an analysis of the state ballot issues by the Legislative Counsel Staff. Known as the "Blue Book", the guide is available in Spanish and English language editions.
    • Campaign Finance--see Colorado Public Records
    • LexisNexis State Capital CU
      Provides access to bills, statutes, constitutions, digests of state law, proposed and final regulations, legislative directories, and news. Although the service covers all fifty states, some types of information are not available for all states. For example, proposed regulations for the State of Colorado are available online, but the final regulations are not available because of copyright restrictions.
