Federal Contracts

  • Commerce Business Daily
This website provides an archive of notices about proposed government procurement contracts from December 2, 1996, to January 2, 2002.
  • Federal Business Opportunities
FedBizOpps replaced Commerce Business Daily as the single online source for commercial vendors to connect with government buyers. FBO describes its website as "the single government point-of-entry (GPE) for Federal government procurement opportunities over $25,000."
  • Federal Procurement Data System
This database of government procurement information is maintained by the General Services Administration. It contains data about specific government contracts, goalling and procurement reports, lists of government agencies and contractors, and other related information. Users must register to access the database (registration is free).
  • Office of Federal Procurement Policy
  • USASpending.gov
Maintained by the OMB, this site provides data pertaining to federal government obligations (amounts awarded for federally sponsored projects during a given budget period), but not the actual outlays or expenditures.
  • Stimulus Watch
This nongovernmental organization lists projects proposed by the U.S. Conference of Mayors for federal grant funding. Users can search for project information by state, city, keyword, or program type; learn about each program's cost and the number of jobs it could create; and comment on proposed projects.
  • FedSpending.org
A project of OMBWatch and partially funded by the Sunlight Foundation, this site provides a searchable database of government contracts and Recovery Act contracts, grants, and loans.
