- Billion Dollar U.S. Weather Disasters 1980 - 2005 is a short listing of notable weather-related disasters and their cost.
- Carbon Dioxide Emissions Data (Energy Information Administration)
- Climate Prediction Center: features research reports, annual summaries, predictions, data.
- Colorado Agricultural Meteorological Network (CoAgMet) provides links to monthly, daily, and hourly station data on climate and weather conditions.
- Colorado Climate Center provides access to data on local weather and rainfall.
- Institute for the Study of Society and the Environment, National Center for Atmospheric Research "ISSE's mission is to improve societal welfare in the context of natural and changing climate and weather."
- Gateway to Global Change Data and Information
- HazLit Database A searchable bibliographic database with abstracts. The database is based on the holdings of the library of the Natural Hazards Center which "houses an extensive collection of social science literature focusing on how society prepares for, responds to, recovers from, and mitigates natural disasters". Many of the disasters are weather-related.
- Hurricane and Natural Disaster Brochures from NOAA offer tips on safety for weather-related hazards.
- National Climate Data Center (NCDC) includes publications and online data, such as:
- Climate Maps of the United States provides over 2000 maps for the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. These full color maps are available for climatic elements such as temperature, precipitation, snow, wind, pressure, etc., chosen to portray the climate of the U.S. The period of record of the data for most of the maps is 1961-1990. Most of the maps can be ordered in a high resolution Adobe PDF format, or as ESRI Shape Files.
- Interactive Visualization of Climate Data lets you select variables from the National Weather Service Summary of the Day, Global Summary of the Day, Climate Division Data or Global Historical Climatology Network and present the data as a time series.

- Storm Events --a database from the National Climate Data Center. It provides state and county level data on all weather events from 1993 to current. It also includes information on tornadoes from 1950-1992, thunderstorm winds from 1959-1992, and hail 1955-1992.
- National Water and Climate Center provides Climate data for states and counties, water supply forecasts by state and river basin, precipitation reports, reservoir reports, information from the Western Regional Climate Data Center, reports on snow pack, and other information.
- National Weather Service
- Natural Hazard Statistics provides "statistical information fatalities, injuries, and damages caused by weather related hazards. These statistics are compiled by the Office of Meteorology and the National Climatic Data Center from information contained in Storm Data, a report comprising data from NWS forecast offices in the 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands." The site provides state and US summaries and separate reports on lightning, tornadoes, tropical cyclones, heat, floods, cold, winter storms and wind. Data available from 1995 to present.
- nowCoast provides access to real-time coastal observations and NOAA forecasts.
- Stratospheric Ozone and Human Health includes full text UNEP reports, online UV data for selected cities, searchable bibliographies and other information.
- Trends: A Compendium of Data on Global Climate Change "This document provides synopses of frequently used time series of global-change data" Includes graphs, data, discussion of trends, bibliographic citations and other information. From the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center
- Western Regional Climate Center includes Precipitation Maps, Climate Summaries for Western States with daily average and extreme temperature, snowfall, precipitation, degree heating and cooling days, and other data for cities by state.
