GPO Access
GPO Access is the short title for the Government Printing Office Electronic Information Access Enhancement of 1993. This legislation mandates electronic distribution of the Congressional Record, Federal Register, Congressional Bills and other critical government publications.
GPO Access includes full text, searchable versions of many
publications. While all databases can be accessed from the main
GPO Access page, some databases have an advanced
search interface for all or selected years of data. Refer to the chart below for coverage dates and information about heavily used
publications. Coverage of the same publications by Thomas and other Library of
Congress databases has also been noted.
