  • Almanac of Policy Issues background information and links on major U.S. public policy issues.
  • Policy Archive This digital library of public policy research features more than 20,000 documents related to foundation-funded and other public policy research. The site includes Congressional Research Service (CRS) reports. Search by several criteria or browse by topic, author, funder, or publisher.
  • Political Information A search tool for policy and politics.
  • Political Advocacy Groups links to groups by topic. "The political advocacy sites presented here provide a wide spectrum of political opinions."
  • Public Agenda Online "Public Agenda is a nonpartisan, nonprofit public opinion research and citizen education organization based in New York City." It features facts and opinion on issues such as abortion, alcohol abuse, America's global role, crime, the economy, education, environment, family, the federal budget, gambling, health care, illegal drugs, immigration, Internet speech/privacy, Medicare, race, right-to-die, Social Security and Welfare. Each issue includes an overview, fact file, arguments from many sides of the debate, and an extensive collection of resources.
  • Public Policy Matrix A guide to researching the legislative process. With sections on identifying the problem, legislative and executive solutions, influences on legislators, influences on the executive branch, and monitoring the result. Although the guide refers to some resources specific to the University of Michigan, most resources are available to the CU campus.
  • SpeakOut A center for political activisim. Provides background information, opinion polls, news, and centers for activisim on selected topics.
  • Think Tanks was developed by the University of Michigan and provides links to think tanks.
