The Government Publications Library has one of the largest collections of government sponsored technical reports in the world. This collection is primarily microfiche. We own most of the reports distributed by the National Technical Information Service (NTIS) since 1963.

Scientific Abstracts NTIS database CU a database of NTIS publications
from 1964 to the present. Please bring the accession number to the reference desk and we will help you find a copy of the title.
- E-print Network is "a gateway to over 13,750 Web sites and databases worldwide,
containing e-prints in basic and applied sciences, primarily in physics but also including subject areas such as chemistry, biology
and life sciences, materials science, nuclear sciences and engineering, energy research, computer and information technologies, and
other disciplines of interest to DOE."
- National
Technical Information Service (NTIS) "is the Federal Government's central source for the sale of scientific, technical,
engineering, and related business information produced by or for the U.S. Government and complementary material from international
sources." This database contains NTIS publications from 1964 to present. Records include author, title, price, report number, and major subject category. Records do not include abstract.
If you find a title you want in this database bring the NTIS order number to the reference desk and we will look for a copy in our collection.
- Science.gov This database searches across the web sites of over 50 U.S. government agencies. While many of the
resources are full-text, please come to the government publications desk for help locating print or microfiche copies of the citations.
- TRIAL: Technical Report Archive and Image Library A collaborative project to digitize, archive, and provide persistent and unrestricted access to federal technical reports issued prior to 1975.

from 1964 to the present. Please bring the accession number to the reference desk and we will help you find a copy of the title.

Bridge provides "over 21,000 full text documents and
approximately 200,000 bibliographic records starting from
January 1996" including DOE reports, bibliographic citations
(and full text when available) of energy related scientific and
technical information obtained from a variety of domestic and
international sources.
- Energy
Citations Database contains bibliographic records for
energy and energy-related scientific and technical information
from the Department of Energy (DOE) and its predecessor
agencies, the Energy Research & Development Administration
(ERDA) and the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC). The Database
provides access to DOE publicly available citations from 1948
through the present, with continued growth through regular
updates.
- Dialog@Site CU includes a database of NTIS publications from 1980 to the present. Search by word, subject heading, author, title words, performing and sponsoring organization, report and contract number, and other options.

Publications Search A database of online publications. Search by document number, title or words
in the title. Search results include a brief description.
- NSCEP/NEPIS More than 7,000 in stock and 26,000 digital titles are available free of charge to search and retrieve, download, print and/or order from the National Service Center for Environmental Publications (NSCEP).

- Geologic Survey, Publications Warehouse 1882-present
- National
Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) includes a
bibliographic database and full text for selected reports
published from 1917-1958. NACA was abolished and its functions
were transferred to NASA in 1958.
- National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Scientific and Technical Information
Program provides:
- NASA
Technical Reports Server (NTRS) provides access to NASA's technical literature. NTRS also collects scientific and technical information from sites external to NASA to broaden the scope of information available to users.
- National Academy Press Reading
Room: online access to 1,000+ full text publications in
science, technology and public policy. National Academy Press is
the publisher for the National Academy of Science, the National
Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Medicine, and the
National Research Council.
- National Park
Service (NPS) Technical Information Center (DSC Technical Information Center)
Bibliographic Database [DUE TO CONTINUING LITIGATION THIS DATABASE IS OFFLINE AT THE MOMENT. For
help finding titles in our NPS collection please visit the govpubs reference desk] contains over 200,000 entries for park
documents, drawings, videos, aerial photography, and photographs. The
Technical Information Center receives materials from national parks throughout
the country to include in the database and makes microfiche copies for
all the regional Park Service offices. The database can be browsed by
subject, location and alphabetically. Selective records have a link to
scanned image, which is a new feature of the database.
Yale and the University of Colorado, by gift of the Center, also have
copies of NPS documents. (Call number: I29.2/9:). To access the documents
held in microfiche by CU, enter the database and click on "Search".
For Record Type, select "Document". You may then search by park name
or by keyword using boolean operators. Ask for the microfiche at the
Government Publications Library Reference Desk. We need the Park Code
number and the Address number (most starting with "D") to retrieve the
microfiche. If you click on the "Park Alpha" designator, you can view
a complete record with subject headings for each document. Photograph,
drawing, video and documents in other formats are available from DSC
Technical Information Center.
- National Park Service
Voyager Database a combined library catalog of many units
within the National Park Service. Some bibliographic citations
contain links to the full-text materials.
- National
Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) provides the full text of
safety recommendations, press releases and bibliographic citations
for Aviation, Highway, Marine, Pipeline/Hazardous Materials, and
Railroad accident reports released through National Technical
Information Service (NTIS). These reports are available on
microfiche in the CU Government Publications Library. In addition,
recent reports are available online. Use the Publications
menu to locate citations and full text.

- Office of
Technology Assessment (OTA) Legacy site includes a complete
archive of reports and information about the history
and impact of the now-defunct agency. "OTA provided Congressional
members and committees with objective and authoritative analysis
of the complex scientific and technical issues of the late 20th
century."
- Science.gov This database searches across the web sites of over 50 U.S. government agencies. While many of the
resources are full-text, please come to the government publications desk for help locating print or microfiche copies of the citations.
- US Agency for International Development Development Experience Clearinghouse a searchable " family of bibliographic databases that
contains records for about 115,000 [United States] Agency [for International Development] technical and program documents." Over 11,000 documents are available online.
- University of Maryland Virtual Technical Reports Center
contains links to technical reports, preprints, reprints, dissertations, theses, and research reports of all kinds.

- Food and Agriculture
Organization (FAO) Document Repository provides online
editions of selected FAO reports on topics such as irrigation,
agriculture, sustainable development, desertification, pesticides,
food security, wildlife, and animal husbandry.
- North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Research and Technology Reports This database contains citations and full-text access
to technical reports from the various organizations in NATO.
- World Resources Institute
provides the complete texts of over 300 reports, papers, and books
on environmental issues. Includes online editions of its flagship
publication, World Resources. Many publications are
available in Adobe Acrobat format from the Publications
Menu.
- WorldWideScience.org is a global science gateway connecting you to national and international scientific databases.
The database provides one-stop searching of global science sources. It currently searches 15 countries technical reports collections at once.
