What We Loan
The University of Colorado at Boulder lends most formats to Greater Western
Library Alliance libraries. Non-GLWA libraries may request photocopies
up to 50 pages; book loans; theses and dissertations available in hard copy;
most newspapers on microfilm; maps; government publications, and DVDs and VHS
tapes. Dissertations have been available from UMI since 1995. 2005
and newer dissertations may only be available from UMI. Three reels
of microfilm may be requested on one request.
Non-circulating materials
UCB Libraries does not lend serials (except newspapers on microfilm); microfiche
or microprint; music cds; cd-rom or restricted electronic resources; special
collections, archives, or Reference materials.
Charges
Book loans or photocopies to GWLA, Rapid, ArticleReach, Colorado libraries,
and reciprocal partners are free.
Book loans or photocopies to non-reciprocal libraries within the contiguous
48 states cost $15 IFM
Book loans and photocopies to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico
cost $20 IFM .
Book loans or photocopies to overseas libraries cost $30 IFM, or 4 IFLA vouchers.
Book loans or photocopies to any library requiring an invoice cost $50.00
U.S.
Method of payment
OCLC's IFM system is preferred. For overseas libraries, prepayment with
4 IFLA vouchers is also accepted. If not on IFM, libraries may pay the $50.00
charge by check or credit card (VISA or MasterCard.)
Loan Period
4 weeks, with one 2-week renewal allowed. Some
materials, such as maps, DVDs or VHS tapes may have shorter loan periods
or restrictions.
