The Earth Sciences & Map Library has re-opened!
Due to a flood in February 2011, our library sustained structural and collections damage. Fortunately, most of the repair and clean up is now complete and the Library was able to re-open in April 2011.
Unfortunately, the movable shelving that houses the main book collection is still broken. We are reviewing bids and hope to have that fixed soon.
The public has access to most of the library, but portions will remain closed. The entire upstairs, including the reference, theses, and current journals collections, computers, and study space are accessible. Downstairs, the library is accessible, including the map collection and the computers, but the main book stacks and surrounding area remain closed to the public for safety reasons. Staff will pull books from the stacks until they are fixed.
