Assistance

We're glad to help you locate materials while you are in the Map Library. Phone (492-7578) and e-mail requests are also welcome.

Bibliographic instruction

On- or off-campus groups may request a tour of the facility or a focused presentation which treats the scope of our holdings, use of indices, map interpretation, or the specific needs of the group. An exhibit relevant to the group's interest can be prepared as well.

GIS Services

We are continually expanding our Geographic Information System (GIS) resources. We have digital spatial data from various sources here in the map library as well as the equipment and programs to view, edit and print. We are not a GIS lab and cannot provide staff to perform GIS tasks or in-depth training, but we will help with locating data, equipment setup, and basic questions.
