Module 2C Find: News Articles

The library subscribes to news article databases. These news article databases provide full text articles from thousands of newspapers and include:

  • Major U.S. newspapers
  • International papers
  • Local papers
Newspaper

We will be looking at Proquest Newsstand: an interdisciplinary database that contains the full-text of articles in the Wall Street Journal and 500+ other major U.S. and international newspapers, news wires and other news sources.

Review:

Full-text refers to an electronic resource that provides the entire text of a single work or article, in addition to the citation and (in most cases) an abstract of each work.

We can access News Databases in much the same as way we accessed Academic Search Premier.

1. Go to the "Find Articles and More" page

2. Select "News and Newspapers -- Current Resources"

3. Scroll down and select "Proquest Newsstand"
