Credit Courses in Library Research
University Libraries faculty teach credit courses in library research methods for students who wish to explore the structure, organization, retrieval, and evaluation of information for their study and career needs. Students are reminded to consult with academic advisers regarding core and major degree requirements prior to enrolling in any of these courses.
LIBR 2000. Research Strategies on the Electronic Campus (3 credit hours).
Critical examination and practical exploration of computer technologies, digital communication, and electronic information systems for new students.
LIBR 3010. Methods of Electronic Library Research (3 credit hours).
Exploration of the structure, organization, retrieval, and evaluation of electronic information sources through the formulation of discipline-specific search strategies useful for undergraduate research.
LIBR 3900. Independent Library Research (1-3 credit hours).
LIBR 4900. Independent Library Research (1-3 credit hours).
