International Dictionary of Art and Artists
A two-volume set, volume one Artists gives information on selected artists from the 13th to 20th centuries. Entries are divided into four parts: the essential facts in the artist's career; the most important public and private collections of his/her work; a bibliography of titles and dates of publication of books and articles, and; a critical essay discussing historical and critical aspects of the artist.
