e-Reserves: 2011 Copyright Policy
Effective 2010, on the advice of University Legal Counsel, the University Libraries implemened a new copyright compliance procedure for electronic reserves.
In order to place materials on electronic course reserves, faculty must either acquire permission from the copyright holder or certify that the material to be copied for reserves qualifies as Fair Use, by signing a copyright form. This form applies to ALL material submitted by a particular professor for an individual course, so the form need only be signed once per class per semester.
The Faculty Copyright Sign-off Form: Fall 2011 (as well as e-reserves cover sheets) will be available at the main Circulation desk in Norlin Library, and on the Reserves web pages. Please read the form carefully before you sign. There are some resource links on the form which will help you to determine whether or not a particular use is Fair.
If you have questions, please contact the reserve office at email@example.com
