This summer the library catalog, Chinook, got
a brand new look! This session will navigate through the changes
and demonstrate all the familiar search features and more.
Come learn how to find library materials in all our campus
libraries and beyond, as well as how to use ‘My Chinook’,
save searches, and much more. This session is designed for
those unfamiliar with the catalog, old or new.

allows you to have the content of different websites, blogs,
podcasts and headlines delivered to you through an RSS (or "feed")
reader. Come to this session to learn how to choose an RSS reader,

on current military operations (US and UN) and terrorism. We
will focus in on some of the major sources of information, from
groups such as the U.S. government, United Nations, Stockholm
International Peace Research Institute, and Strategic Studies

Even though the presidential election doesn’t
occur until November 2008, there are already millions raised
by the various candidates. There are also fundraising efforts
underway for Senators and Representatives. This drop-in session
will show you how to find out who is giving money to whom and
look at some sources for who is getting the most for their donations.
Cite Your Sources with
Ref Works
Need help Citing? Refworks is a bibliographic
manager that stores citations, builds works cited, and more!
RefWorks is a web-based tool for managing your citations. In
this hands-on session, we'll cover the basics of creating a
RefWorks account and database, including importing citations
from online resources and generating formatted bibliographies.
We'll also work with Microsoft Word and incorporate citations
from your RefWorks database into your documents.
Researching employers/Preparing for interviews
