Burning a CD under Windows XP

Step 1: Insert a blank CD-R disk into the CD burner and open that device through My Computer.

Step 2: Copy some files to the CD-R drive. These files will temporarily be copied to a hidden location on the C:\ drive.

Step 3: Burn the files to the CD-R disk. Right-click the CD-R device in the left pane, and choose "Write these files to CD". This will pop up a wizard that walks you through naming the CD-R disk and burning the files to the disk.
